Catering by Design was named Small Business of the Year by the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce at their annual banquet January 29, 2010. Chef Greg Lewis was honored for the many ways he and his staff supported the Chamber's work throughout 2009.

The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce announced Friday January 29, 2010, their selection of Catering by Design for the award of Small Business of the Year. Hosted at the Crabtree Marriott in Raleigh, about 200 guests enjoyed the annual banquet and recognition awards for dozens of members of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce.

During the dinner, after giving out a number of awards, Chris Scoop Green, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce began speaking about a business that had given a great deal throughout the year, supporting the Chamber and local businesses on many different occasions. "The Small Business of the Year award goes to that man right there," he announced pointing to one of the guests, "Greg Lewis of Catering by Design."

"I was so surprised," said Catering by Design owner, Greg Lewis, "and very honored! It's my staff who have earned this award. They are the ones who deliver the service: four excellent chefs and dozens of staff who help prepare, deliver, set up and serve at our many events throughout the greater Raleigh area."

Catering by Design has catered many an annual banquet, member appreciation and other chamber events in the past few years.
