Durham, NC – Email marketing service provider Bronto Software was named a finalist today in the Customer Service Department of the Year and Customer Service Executive of the Year categories of The 2010 American Business Awards. The honor acknowledges Bronto Software’s leadership in the Client Services division as well as the entire department for their proactive approach to customer service.

The awards are presented by the Stevie® Awards, which organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious American Business Awards.

Carolyn Sparano, VP of Client Services, is a finalist for the 2010 Customer Service Executive of the Year. She is affectionately known internally at Bronto as the “Five Feet of Fury,” due to her “take no prisoners” attitude when it comes to providing the responsive service customers need to achieve success. While being short in stature, she is tall in attitude and demands the best out of her team and the broader organization.

At Bronto she has created a support organization that is truly the heart of the organization and the internal voice of the customer. Her department is a finalist in the Customer Service Department of the Year as a result of their proactive approach to customer metrics. Using a tool called the Sender Rating, clients have visibility into their email marketing reputation through a simple rating system. Client Services monitors these metrics and proactively contacts any clients with low scores to educate them and then collaborate on a personalized plan to improve their score.

More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Corporate Environmental Responsibility Program of the Year. Bronto Software will be competing in the Customer Service Department of the Year and Customer Service Executive of the Year categories.

Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and specialized final judging committees will select Stevie Award winners from among Finalists in final judging that will continue through May 28. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.
