The Arc of Greensboro Awarded 3-year CARF Accreditation
The Arc of Greensboro, Inc. has been awarded a three year CARF accreditation (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for demonstrating its ability to meet standards for the quality of its services. The Arc of Greensboro is a non-profit organization that builds the Greensboro community by supporting and enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual and related developmental delays. They offer various programs such as case management, job coaching, personal assistance, Beyond the Canvas Art program, Challenger Sports, advocacy and various social opportunities. During the CARF site visit in late January, the Supportive Employment and Case Management programs were evaluated on how well they serve people and how they each can improve. Before becoming accredited by CARF, The Arc of Greensboro showed its focus on quality improvement, the best possible outcomes of its services and customer satisfaction. Based on the surveyors' review, an agency can be awarded CARF accreditation for one or three years, or in some cases the provider may need to improve its services before it can become accredited. Congratulations to The Arc of Greensboro for more than fifty years of service to the Greensboro community and for the recent honorable award of a three year CARF accreditation.
