Tammy Lynn Center Announces Media Sponsors for 25th A Toast to the Triangle Event

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Mary Freeman, president and CEO of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, is proud to announce the media sponsors for the 25th A Toast to the Triangle™. The event is being held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at North Carolina State University’s McKimmon Center in Raleigh.

A Toast to the Triangle offers guests samples from nearly 40 of the Triangle’s finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers. Participants have the opportunity to bid on an array of donated items during the event’s live and silent auctions. Restaurants also compete in a spirited, yet friendly, competition for one of six “Best in Show” food category awards.

Last year, more than 75 businesses sponsored the Raleigh event, with many returning to contribute again this year. Donations benefit the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., which in turn supports the following programs and services of the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities: Community Residential, Early Childhood Intervention, Respite Care, and non-Medicaid Day Services. More than 1,200 guests attended the 2009 Toast, helping raise $191,000 for the Center’s programs and services.

A Toast to the Triangle was first held on April 6, 1986 at Carolina Place. Approximately $6,000 was raised to build residential facilities at the Tammy Lynn Center.
